Valerie Grassham, Owner & Director

Valerie’s commitment to coaching and facilitation is built around encouraging executive-level clients to pay more significant attention to how behaviour in the corporate environment, can enhance or impede both individual and organisational performance. She is particularly interested in the role of leadership in high-performing teams and has undertaken research in to how such teams are established and sustained.

Valerie founded Highpoint Partners in 2003, initially as a boutique executive search firm, then in 2012, following interest and encouragement from clients, repositioned the business to focus on executive leadership coaching and organisational development consulting.

Throughout her 20+ years’ executive search career Valerie specialised in working for global asset management and investment banking clients. She worked successfully with clients to hire individuals and teams based in London, Europe, the United States and Asia. Before creating Highpoint Partners Valerie spent almost ten years with US executive search firm, Russell Reynolds Associates, where she was a Partner in the firm’s financial services practice.

Valerie holds an MSc degree in Coaching and Consulting for Change, together with an MA degree in Applied European Studies, a BA degree in Modern Languages and Politics and several specialist coaching qualifications and certifications.
